Governance
Our Founding President
At its helm, Amal Derqaoui embodies this vision with rigor and boldness. Holding master’s degrees in public policy and administration from the London School of Economics and in contemporary philosophy from the Sorbonne, following preparatory studies at Louis le Grand and Henri IV, Amal bridges disciplines, uniting often siloed worlds—intellectual, scientific, artistic, civic, and political—while centering the voices of the marginalized in shaping public action. Her incisive thinking, grounded in reality yet bold enough to challenge certainties, shifts paradigms
In an ecosystem dominated by entrenched institutions and established authorities, she calmly yet firmly disrupts the status quo, carving out new possibilities where few dare to look.
Under her visionary leadership, Raisonnances Humanistes pioneers a new governance model, rooted in the free flow of ideas, the fusion of knowledge, and cross-citizen commissions, harnessing collective intelligence to drive tangible transformation.
At Raisonnances Humanistes, governance reflects our dedication to a dynamic, participatory, and inclusive democracy, beyond static or top-down frameworks. To govern is to engage, connect, and innovate fearlessly.

“Over a year ago, Raisonnances Humanistes was born from a dream: to transform public action by uniting citizens, intellectuals, scientists, artists, and decision-makers. As a student, I sought to bring an Anglo-Saxon interdisciplinary approach to France, co-crafting public policy hand in hand with all stakeholders.
Now, more than ever, policy must be woven with those it serves. Without their voices, no reform can claim legitimacy.
In just one year, our team’s boldness has turned a spark into a blaze: over 50 active members, a board of advisors, a pool of distinguished researchers, a network of 150 French, European, and international figures, and strategic collaborations, with leadership in two major national commissions.
At this critical juncture of history, we must stand firm and join forces.
Join us to forge a vibrant, inclusive, and audacious democracy—Sciences, Arts, Citizens: Building a Bold Future.”
